During the Florida monsoon season we typically get a hard and heavy late day thunderstorm. Rarely do we get a summer day where we see persistent clouds and constant light precipitation. Days like this tend to thin out the crowds at the Magic Kingdom resulting in shorter ride lines and easier access to all corners of the park. This shot was taken in the late afternoon. Everything in this photo just works. Most castle photos are taken straight on with throngs of people in the foreground. This offset shot was taken from off to the side, with a grassy knoll in the front. The colors, textures and scale all work in this photo of Cinderella’s castle. The ominous clouds add a darkness that isn’t typically associated with the castle.
