An Explosion of Clouds

This was taken over about a two hour period this evening. What began as a relatively clear, calm sky turned into a violent storm with massive lighting and driving rain. The video is about 43 seconds long, and only starts getting interesting about halfway through.

This was done through time lapse, with still shots at 5 seconds apart. 12 shots per minute, over two hours. That’s a lot of frames. I think you’ll be impressed, seeing what our eyes and brains can’t see alone.

Edit: My apologies for spots on the sensor. The camera will be making its way back to Nikon shortly. Spots aside, the D800 is an amazing rig.
